A good thing about this being my fourth year writing daily posts throughout May is I now have a handful of regular themes I know I can fall back on. Since today is my birthday, it's time to examine the world of horoscopes to see how well the "Your Birthday Today" entry predicted my 2015-16 orbit, then take a glimpse at the future I have ahead of me.
First, last year:
"The others will be trying to catch up with you this year. You'll be prolific. Whatever it is you love to produce -- smiles, phone calls, cookies, kind words, doodles, deals, your special product -- you'll turn out record amounts. July shows you carefully plotting, and August shows you going full force. Sagittarius and Leo people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 45, 24, 31, 1 and 17."
I really don't think of the past year as being unusually prolific, so I'm going to have to call shenanigans on this, overall. If there are any Sagittarius and Leo people adoring me, I think they've been doing it from afar. Well, no, wait: My mother is a Leo. So there's that.
All right, let's put that to bed and see what's coming. Here's what the "Your Birthday Today" horoscope has to say, along with my parenthetical annotations:
"The next three months bring opportunities that seem straight from a sample sale -- odd shapes, colors, and sizes -- a creative challenge with fantastically lucky results (the next three months: June, July, and August; should I be optimistic about my summer break?). Couples will adventure in June and intertwine business to lucrative effect in September (okay, we'll ignore this part). Singles aiming to fulfill a business agenda accidentally catch feelings ('accidentally catch feelings?' Just what exactly is that supposed to mean?!). Leo and Aries adore you (Leos, you had your shot last year and you blew it; hey there, all you Aries...what's up?). Your lucky numbers are: 4, 17, 22, 38, and 45 (17 and 45 again, for the second consecutive year? What am I overlooking about those numbers???)."
Okay, that doesn't seem very helpful, other than my summer should be a divergently creative bonanza which will somehow involve 17 and 45 for some as of yet unknown reason. I guess all there is left to do now is get this new year of living underway and see what happens!

Happy belated birthday. Have just discovered your blog and am loving your writing style. Note I have no business agenda so there is no chance of you accidentally catching feelings.
Thanks for the birthday wishes and the comments!
